YULIN DOG DOG MEAT FESTIVAL

These are some of the thousands of poor dogs which couldn’t be saved from slaughter at China’s infamous Yulin Dog Meat Festival.A dog meat seller who works at the city`s Dongkou market told the Global Times daily on Sunday that she just wanted to a void trouble,another dog meat seller near Liangbin road said that the government has required vendors to cover their signboard.

Li said "recently authorities have frequently asked to cheak the licenses of these restaurant and vendors,including their food sanitation permit and business license".





I've witnessed truly heartbreaking animal suffering of dogs and cats that I will never forget, but at the same time I've also had the honour of working alongside really inspiring Chinese activists and ordinary animal-loving citizens who care deeply about ending this horrific trade




Liu Lang, director of the Beijing Small Animal Veterinary Association, said dog meat is not listed for supervision by the food quarantine and inspection authorities, which creates safety risks in the processing and eating of dog meat.
